I had no intention of offending you, Ennis, or anyone. We all probably have different definitions of God, deities,the Divine as manifested in the ordinary, the nature of genius, etc..

The ancient gods were/are not perfect, yet they give us insight. They were often jealous, vindictive, and often behaved very badly. (Really now, would you want Medea for a neighbor? Would you want to be in a carpool with Loki? Probably not.) Yet they teach us about the "human condition." Their stories are commentary upon it.
