Bright Star song book

I wasn't sure whether you'd all be interested in this, but then I thought "it's a Keats book, of course they'll be interested" :lol: .

A book of songs which basically sets some of Keats's poems to music will be published by Xlibris. Its author is Nicola Jane Buttigieg; the song cycle book will be available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble soon...

Ha! So funny that you should mention it. I was just thinking about the Benjamin Britten work, Nocturne for tenor, 7 obligato instruments, Op. 60. (No, my memory is emphatically not that great. I just ran downstairs and rifled through our CDs to find it.)
The seventh poem used is "Sleep and Poetry." While I usually love Britten, I thought that the way the poem was set to music was a little too bouncey (I guess that's the word I'd use) and delicate, a bit simplistic. (That's just my opinion. I am open to others. Please, no flames! :lol: )
