Anybody remember the wonderful series, "Rumpole of the Bailey"? The lovable curmudgeonly barrister, altho' very fond of Wordsworth, quoted "To a Nightingale" in "Rumpole and the Blind Tasting."
It is my very favorite episode.

Here's a random sighting:
Last week, my daughter had to take a college exam for placement in the nursing program.
The "English Section" of the test had some essays and questions. The first essay was on "John Keats"! Unreal. She couldn't believe it - of all the possible essays she could have on these exams, and she gets Keats! And she knew so much of his life already so it was easy for her.
Just a strange thing to see on some placement exam in college.

I found this in the latest Take A Break - a weekly women's magazine (British ) on the Your Big Bonanza puzzle page (prizes amounting to £3,000 are chosen by the winner who does the puzzle )
I'm a winner! John Keates of Briar Lawn, Gloucester, chose Waitrose food and wine, £1,500 cash, a £250 Denby dinner service and donated £250 to the British Heart Foundation after winning the 14 April Big Bonanza

Was in London last week, and while racing past St Thomas street [unfortunately unable to stop I spotted the plaque to Keats, marking where he and Henry Stephens lived as students at Guy's Hospital, and where he wrote some of his earliest poems and 'On first reading Chapman's Homer.

I'd love to be outside it- I presume it is a privately owned house now?
This house is of a type we have plenty of in my home town- see them almost every day. I bet few have the original features in them though.
Oh forgot to post this- last week there was a programme on TV about the artist Vincent Van Gogh and it was done in a docu drama style; an actor played Van Gogh and he was reading some of To Autumn and praising the poem highly!
