The website www. pathguy.com offers some interesting observations on this poem, on TB (which the site owner, a doctor, once suffered from) and on Keats generally. Don't be put off by the appearance of the homepage, but get straight to the heart of things by Googling the title of the poem instead.

I've seen this pathguy's website -- hadn't been too it in a couple of years, 'tho', so I went back and had another look. He's redesigned it, so it's a bit easier to navigate. I agree that his observations/opinions are pretty interesting. (And it's interesting to me that he used several Pre-Raphaelite paintings to illustrate "La Bell Dame. . ." Those paintings are one of the things that led me to explore Keats.)
