'When I have Fears that I may cease to be'

Postby Miss_Johnson » Tue Sep 23, 2003 10:38 pm

:( I have an assignment due on Thursday about this particular poem/sonnet of John Keats.
' When I have fears that I may be to cease
Before my pen has gleaned my teeming brain..'
I have no idea what this poem is about and I need to answer a few questions... such as.. What is the basic situation of the sonnet and what basic issues does a recognition of this duality raise in the poet's mind?
I'd really appreciate some help. I've been to the library and searched the internet for hours to no avail.
My e-mail address is: Miss_Johnson@migente.com if anyone can send me some analysis about the sonnet.
