The `world's worst poet'

Postby Raphael » Sat Jul 10, 2010 12:39 am

Yes, he wasn't good but the modern stuff I see today is worse- I found a poetry mag produced here and it was so bad it made sense why the mag is free . The art work was equally bad- a 5 year old could have done better.
I threw it in the recycling.

  Blimey they are bad!. I remember the Python sketch; I never knew it was based on a real poet.

Well at least he's still in print and not many poets of that era still are; how ironic

Yes...he is so BAD they cannot forget him ! He is immortalised in Python.
But seriously Saturn, that mag had poetry that was WORSE! I should have posted some on this forum for a laugh. And the scary thing was the "poets" who wrote them were post grads and thought they were good..
I bet they have never read Ode To A Nightingale. Speaking of such...I have the desire to get under the duvet with a very brilliant poet's works. Adieu til the afternoon!

I showed this to my boyfriend and he laughed as much as I did. Amazing, how bad he is.
