 :x My home internet connection is DOWN!!! So now it's back to the UK online place- and I haven't enough time in there to sit and watch these...sob...
It died on Sunday- I don't know why, I hope my neighbour comes back soon (he's not here often) to look at the wireless thing.
I hope I can see this series soon Saturn!

I would have been watching it tonight at dinner time if it was working...
I will have to hope my neighbour comes back soon to look at the router box. He's not here much. But....I could get a virgin mobile broadband for either £10 a month or £15 (contract) next week. My 02 mobile broadband dongle was too slow, no video uplaods and had that IP problem.I'm keeping it for wi fi for the future when I can get a lap top!

Thanks for this, Saturn!
Does Ackroyd do many documentaries? I hadn't heard of him before.

How many days did it take you to upload all those?

He has done I remember a documentary on Dickens [his biography is recognised as the definitive one], and one about London, which he wrote a 'biography' of.

Altogether it took two or three days to download, edit [that's the real nightmare] and upload those videos, but I'm glad you've enjoyed them.

I've just finished "The Romantics" (had to watch the Keats's segments more than once!!); thank you so much, Saturn, for taking the time to download all of that for us! I was aware that Ackroyd had done this series for the BBC and had been trying (unsuccessfully) to locate it on-line to purchase it, but had no luck.
Again, many thanks!!
