Disgraceful.
John....you did not live to see-
who we are because of what you left,
what it is we are in what we make of you.

Every bit as bad as our Thomas Wolfe's mother's boarding house (of Look Homeward, Angel fame) being torched about 10-15 years ago. Thankfully, it's been restored, although that took a long time. It hasn't been reopened too terribly long. Why in God's name would anyone want to desecrate/destroy any literary or historical site? I suppose from pure meanness.

I doubt the people that did it have ever even heard of the Brontes, or care less.
