Celestially Heavenly Bodies

I saw a shooting star last night.
Truth
It cut sharp through the sky. NNE to SSW
Beauty
It all happened in my head.
Poetry.

' I saw 2 shooting stars last night,
I wished on them, but they were only sattellities.
Its wrong to wish on space hardware,
But I wish you would, wish you would care.

Once upon a time at home
I sat beside the telephone
Waiting for someone to call me through
When the bastard didn't ring, I knew it wasn't you.'

Billy Bragg. Bard of Barking.

This is a brilliant rhyme!
"Holy Kleenex, Batman! It was right under our nose and we blew it!"
