How wonderful for you, Broken Lyre!
I'm more than a little jealous. I'm looking forward to your next post + observations. I want to hear all about your visit.

I know it's not the forum's fault (it's great that it exists!), but I have to say the spammers are starting to get me down.

Sorry Cath that's my resonsibility but I'm not at home this week and only have restricted internet access. Think I've got rud of them all now - it needs to be done almost hourly so a day or two can make the forum awash with spammer's posts.

Appreciate all the effort you put in to get rid of them Saturn. Spammers must be really sad geeks.

Happy Birthday to me!
Unbelievably it has been 8 years to the day that I took over the reins of this forum.

And a Happy Birthday from me to you, Saturn! (It is also my best friend's birthday!)
Thank you so much for moderating the forum. It must be a real pain at times. We all appreciate your efforts and are grateful for all the time you must spend on it.

Thank you Cybele.
Don't worry it's no great shakes these days, I just have an inbox full of spam members requesting their accounts accepted. These are naturally declined.

Yes, happy (belated) birthday Stephen! Born in the same month of the year as our poet

.
Let us know how you get on with the Roe biography. I'm glad you managed to get a hold of a copy before your b'day.
