Tagging on a bit late here.
Just got a phone call about an hour ago from my daughter. Much background noise. "Guess where I am, Mum". Yes, sitting on the Spanish Steps, reading out the plaque. Her first day in Rome. What a good girl to go at my suggestion on her only day off. Trouble was it's a holiday and the house was closed. Doh..... So no postcards.

Bummer....sorry she couldn't see the K-S house. But she got to the steps.

Now I've posted a few times, I thought I'd finally introduce myself . I'm Cath, born in the UK, now in my early thirties and living on the Continent. I became enthralled by all things Keats-related at the end of 2009/beginning of 2010, when I read the Selected Letters & Andrew Motion's biography and visited the re-opened Keats House in Hampstead. Almost 2 years on, I've now read 13 biographies of Keats (there are soooo many!) as well as lives of some of his circle and other second-generation Romantics. I am particularly interested in where Keats stayed: I've been to Moorgate, Church Street in Edmonton, and this autumn I finally made it to the Keats-Shelley Museum in Rome and his grave in the Protestant Cemetery, which was a very sad experience after all those biographies. I'm planning to check out the Keats statue and the plaque near St.Thomas' Hospital when I'm in London in late December, too. Perhaps even Apothecaries Hall!

I'm looking forward to sharing and learning more.

Welcome Cath, and thanks for introducing yourself, hope to read more of your thoughts on Keats - you've read more biographies than I have!!

I'm Malia. You may also call me the Prodigal Keatsian. It has been a LONG time (roughly three years) since I've been on the forum but I have felt the call to return and dive into the great thoughts, conversations, and information you all bring to this Keatsian's mind and heart. Hope to chat with you all in the coming months :)

Cool that you're back, Malia! Keats seems to have that effect on people, pulling them back into his orbit :) .
