The grave, rather serious but exceptionally sweet and warm hearted under the surface is me all over.

Perhaps Alan could play someone like the kindly Doctor Clark.

Oh! As did I! I fell in love with him after that role...so handsome...gentlemanly...etc, etc...

Well I didn't fall in love with him - I saw myself in him - I love that novel and was obsessed with that film for a long time. I must have seen it about 100 times.

But enough of my obsessions.

That was when I was I was very unwell.

Some obsessions are unhealthy I've found.

On the flip side, though, some people are completely obsessionless, which I think is equally unhealthy. What sad, boring, unimaginative lives these poor people must lead! :(

As the song goes 'my weakness is none of your business'...

Sometimes it is good to have something that occupies your time and excites and interests you but it can go too far, it can completely take over your life like it did mine

At one point I had so many obsessions and interests that I just reached saturation point all too often and had many nervous breakdowns

Ok. But that, too, passed--and now you are here--and we are lucky.
