That sounds intriguing, Fortuna. I'm looking forward to seeing/reading it :) Hmm. . . now I guess I've got to start thinking about what in heck I'm going to write! EEEK!

Where, exactly, should we post our poems for this?

I'll create a special thread for it and you can post them there. (I'll do that right now. . .)

The thread for poems is in the "Where's the Poet?" section of the forum.

I'd love to contribute but my mind is a total blank - I'm empty of inspiration, vitality, anything - I'm disphoric :?

Aww :( Well, it can't hurt to try, can it?

I spent a little time last night just writing. . . exercising my dormant poetic mind. Who cares if what I wrote was crap? It was something! Perhaps you could do the same.

Here! Here! It's the doing of the thing that's important. You can always write a poem about not being inspired--or of having a blank mind. Keats, himself, wrote those kinds of poems. . .I think there was at least one on his Walking tour.

I haven't written poetry in years and it felt fantastic to scribble down a few verses last night. I went over to a friend's for dinner and he had this stack of gorgeous parchment-like paper and just upon seeing its rustic texture inspired me to write a poem. He gave me a stack to take home :D.

I hope you may feel inspired too Saturn... taking a browse through the poetry section of this forum always helps to get my creative juices flowing.

Randomly...

This was my desk after I worked on a draft poem for Poetry Month!

Image

The first image is the Keatsian title for my little project, then my poem which is littered with crossed-out lines and misspelled words, and at the end of it all, the signature of the poet.

I am drowning in assignments this week so I might only have time to finish my poetry on the 1st May. Luckily for me, it will still be 30th April in the United States :D.[/img]

Thank you! :D I know it's random and all but so much of what I do is seen through a camera lens and I didn't know who else to share them with.
