Another young Regency writer who passed away young- born and died the same years as our dear Junkets. Also he did medical training as well. (And he had to put up with the snobbery of Lord Byron, again like our dear Junkets.) Shame the two Johns never met- they might have become good friends.

Byron was a rogue and would relish being in the news today! Poor John Polidori- he wasn't appreciated at all.
