Glacial response

A million ton tanker,
A city block on brine
Propped and moving
The very impossible
Is easier far to shift
Than such ice-born
Behemoth opinions.

Sloth, idly lounged,
Perched prone asleep
Are quicker to rouse
Than such a wanton
And glacial response
That house-groaning
Tortoise would blush.

We have bumbled a
Habitat for ourselves
With a bulldozer eye,
Devouring the world
With our greedy maws:
As if we're immune to
Being bitten in return.
__________
"Oh what a misery it is to have an intellect in splints".
