Lie awake and dream of thy new day
Of silver tongues and hearts of gold and brass;
To death a fair salute and tribute to,
A libation to the stars upon the grass

A sip of fragrant forgetfulness to
Dull thy jaded soul, full of the heavy
Ripeness of autumn, with weighty fruits and
Drops of dew long since touched by one last bee

Sink into the plush, green earth and bandy
With aplomb amongst the daffodils, tall
And dripping with their pungent nectar,
Parley rich to keep thy slipping mind enthralled

Rest a hand upon thine empty chest to
Feel for a muffled beat or restful breath,
And wonder why either you ever did possess;
Fall to sleep there in bliss and succumb to sweet death

Awesome Child of Woz- full of atmosphere and rich images!
John....you did not live to see-
who we are because of what you left,
what it is we are in what we make of you.

Thank you! As you can probably tell, this is about a dear friend of mine, so I had a lot of inspiration to work with.
