Dripping from the boughs, laden with the rich
Mountain's dews, full of the thick and heavy
Nectar of a plump and ripened season,
The hues of an age of flora and hills
Rolling into eternity falls into
A blend of wise and misted history,
Drenching the flora, the fauna. The year
Of Bacchus is ripened into glory,
Into sensation, stirred into a banquet
Of smooth speech, of sweet tongue, and of bursting
Bubbles of a thick and sleepy grandeur
Of which only could be born of dark Night's
Sweet breath, the damp fog of cool Twilight's
Fleeting embrace, and sweet Time's motherly
Fret, in saccharine, candied melody,
To plunge the sun-drenched vine into the dew
And grant it breath an age beyond tomorrow.

Another awesome poem rich with sensual imagery!
John....you did not live to see-
who we are because of what you left,
what it is we are in what we make of you.
