New poem

Postby BrokenLyre » Mon Sep 23, 2013 4:08 am

Just trying it out here...from a woman whose husband betrayed her love:

Plea of Demura

Where shadows fall but never rise
And grief and shame cease not to scream,
Here I lie with fear-scarred eyes,
And beg the heavenlies for death serene.
For I have lived the forbidden truth-
Scarred lips refuse to tell the story
Of the one who stained my youth
For wicked gain and selfish glory.
If darkness be my closest friend,
Shroud me in thy black embrace
Forever free to thus pretend
That I had never seen his face.
Betrayal's sorrow cannot be curbed
So let my withering prayer be heard:
Throw wide thy age-old glorious portal
And let me dance with the immortal.
"Come... dry your eyes, for you are life, rarer than a quark and unpredictable beyond the dreams of Heisenberg; the clay in which the forces that shape all things leave their fingerprints most clearly. Dry your eyes... and let's go home."

Moved this to the correct section.

It's very good!
John....you did not live to see-
who we are because of what you left,
what it is we are in what we make of you.
