Another Day

I was younger then
Such a restless soul
I had to find my way
To the pot of gold

It's been a long, hard road
But now I've reached the end
I've been through pain and sorrow
And, here, I'm back again

So come on, Mary, take a chance with me
I'm not the same man I used to be
I know I've made mistakes along the way
But that was years ago now it's another day

The years have passed
like a railroad train
From the northern mountains
To the southern plains

When the stakes were high
I played the gambler's game
I never had to borrow
But somehow always paid

If I saw you now
Would you feel the same
Would you wave and smile
Or turn and walk away

I need you by my side
Oh, Mary, can't you see
That all these years apart
Are really killing me

I'm in love with Osama's Aunt Sally

I like the inclusion of the chords. did not live to see-
who we are because of what you left,
what it is we are in what we make of you.
