Lifeline
A gossamer thread
But silken smooth;
Too slack by far. I
Clung like lichen
To a cresting bow,
A lifeline in dark.
No Jason I but an
Icarus so blinded
By a shining smile
My palms burned,
Wings melted with
Gazing, oh too long,
Sightless, and a fool
That glimpses at his
Eclipse and laughs.
