A Lady's Pride

A once-sturdy frigate craved the sea
but stayed drydocked in port;
surging waves unceasingly
mocked sailing days cut short.
She yearned for the unobtainable--
a foamy fantasy of tides;
sunburned and unsustainable,
roaming only where vanity resides.
