Aeneas' Farewell

A little ephemeral piece I dreamed up a few minutes ago.

I don't know why but in my indolence I have returned to my early archaic-like ways:?

Aeneas' Farewell

And so the citadel hath fallen,
The ruin bows to kiss the earth.
The tower is in fragments torn
And broken all the windows lie.

Souls stream from forth this place
Screaming loud with mouths of fear
Cursing the traitors and their work:
Troy's wreck rent asunder now.

Malicious machines have taken o'er
This once proud bastion of strength.
Infiltrators from a hellish place
Take the place of our brethren now.

And so adieu I bid you all my kin,
My brothers and sisters fair thee well.
The sun has set on this pleasant scene
And darkness reigns now supreme.
