The Seeker---(Any suggestions for the title?)

It was not so long ago
That you and I,
Finding love in the eyes of the other,
Warmth in the embrace and Comfort
In the clasping of our bodies or hands,
Either really--Twas not a bother--
For simply to be connected to you was--
A blessing,
A stirring on to feverish pursuit in the face of life and all the world.

It was not so long ago
That I, loving you, mourned
The loss of my lover-friend
Who, having found displeasure,
In my tirades, in my fret,
In short, in the very mad passions awakened
By the lifting of my heart
From barren desert in solitude occupied
To fields, dales, beauteous wooded scenes,
Bountiful Harvests and Magnanimous Peaks
The likes of which doth tease
Men and gods--Ancient Gods--
Who, having succeeded to Paradise, are cast out.
Oh! For those Peaks!
Fierce Precipice!
That I had been swallowed up in your landscape
Than banished--exiled--
To this world--
This world in which my fever is not--
Cannot--be satieted.
Can a world of wonder,
of willful spirit, of bold indulgences of heart and mind,
Be returned to?
Can I--banished, foolhardy seeker--
Can I rediscover--reintrigue--
Reclaim, regain, remake
My Heart
Not in the image of strength
Or for some shielded defense,
But to what it was?
To what I was--
When you and I--We--
Canvased those thunderous caverns and jagged edifices
As one?
When I, not left simply to desire
That spark which molds men's souls and minds to virtue,
Was Virtuous
And sought naught,
But Wisdom, Temperance, and Your Sweet Hand.

Simply beautiful.

Passionate, frenetic, fast moving and heartbreaking.

Wonderful stuff.

The Seeker is a good title and titles really aren't really that important I think. The contents are always more valuable than the box.

Now before you say that you have to think of little children and cardboard boxes. Sometimes the box is more fun than the contents, and it is the box that protects and presents the contents so the title is very important. As Donald Trump said: presentation is very, very important.
That said, I do agree that "The Seeker" is a good title, and I like the poem very much. It was a pleasure reading it.

I thought someone might say that but you can't play with a title

My metaphor was a bit weak.
