Handling a precious object.

My swollen heart
Nestles in your palm.
Unconscious,
Weightless,
Unseen by you.

Yet you feel it.
You know how to
Torture me.

Don't you know
How every flinch
Is a pinprick?
How every frown
Is a dagger
Slowly,
Silently
Bleeding me...
...dry.

My broken heart
Crushed, deflated lies.
Unconscious,
Weightless,
Unseen by you.
"Oh what a misery it is to have an intellect in splints".
