A meeting of minds
Intermix like waters:
Even river and sea
Will meet eventually.

Souls entwined
Run like roads.
Parallel paths collide
At junctions; connect.

Two beating hearts
Synchronise; pulses
Of feeling combine
Musically, in rhythm.

Relating to another discussion [Denise if you're reading] this is an example of using the sound of a word, or just liking a word so much that you wish to build a poem around it.

The word confluence is just one that tickled my fancy. It just came to me that it could be a title and the rest came from there.

A confluence of what? What would it be a metaphor for? What other metaphors can I use?

A little insight into my process people. There's no big mystery, though I'm often mystified myself as to how I wrote something :?
