To Love, Death, and Glory

Unlearn the way to heaven
And allow wishes of the heart,
All the wishes of desire,
To be fullfilled, and alas!

I am one with the sky,
One with the stars, the fire, and the flowers,
Where dreams unfold,
Where Love is no mere shadow, only
That the sky and I are one.
And yet,
Will it be worth it, after all
That I have lived and loved at every ounce,
To consider that I have forced every moment
And every thought to fill the high meed of life?
Will it be enough?

What about the pains
The heartaches
That we must endure
To keep believing
That tears, humility, and surrender
Will grant a place in heaven?

Shall I die then
To uphold the glory of mankind?
Or shall I measure time
With the unreachable climax of my heart?

Let me add my welcome also. :D

This is a lovely poem. I like the sort of dialogue that is going on in it and the universality that is also taking place. The accessibiliy of the poem is also very nice.

Look forward to seeing more! :)
