No too sure about this one, it's a little simplistic, but it's not about what it seems to be about on the surface at all, it has a deeper, wholly personal meaning to me.


Strip away the items of superstition,
The gaudy expressions of blind faith.
Change allegiance to rational powers
And bow before a realistic godhead;
No marbled throne, nor alabaster-
Clad idealised deities more sublime
Than our weak human nature can
Ever conceive, or dare to touch.

Reach for that which is afar,
But not beyond our grasp
And hold it bosom-tight;
Encompass realism.

We can each of us live
In relative bliss
Contented with
Little things
In life.
