Spring

Oh! Sweet Spring
Cold recedes
Darkness fades
And is gone
Fragrant roses
Bloomed
Giving a sweet kiss
To me.

Oh! Sweet Spring
A pearly hand
in mine
Hazel eyes
on me
A smile so bright

Oh! Sweet Spring
Will this last?
Will I stop feeling this
Wondrous change that had come over me?
Will I stop feeling your gentle hands
Caress my hands
And face?
Will I stop feeling your lips leave a kiss on mine
So soft and light?

Oh! Sweet spring!

I love the yearning here, as if a blossom were speaking.

I commend you for writing: "Hazel eyes." I think that artists get tired of the usual blue eyes and "golden" hair. I know Shakespeare did. Great job!
