Wild Strawberries

The former time I shall recall
When mind is tight corralled
And life is racked with pressure’s pain
Or stretched by tedium bland
For I shall dwell upon your face
Blue eyes reflecting sky
Your smile secure upon my heart
As dappled sun shall dance for’ ere
And when you knelt
Wild strawberries
In to your hand caressed
You did not pick them
They picked you
And on your lips they wept

Memory of a summer’s walk in Saundersfoot.

I like this one very much Bordesley, very fine and bursting full of vivid memories. Who has not in their mind gone back to some sunny day, some forgotten field, forest, hill or dale in the murky past.
