A little Apocalyptic ode for you...

Sic transit gloria mundi

"Thus passes the glory of the world"
The sky falls and darkness will arise.
Careless no more will the animals roam.
The insects, the plants, even the trees
Forget their business: shut up shop.

The scents, the sounds, even the seas;
The clouds, rivers and lakes will wither.
The earth's busy life will pack its bags
And all will seem empty as mankind
Wanders the torrid blackness alone.
