Another off-the-cuff-tossed-off-in-five-minutes job...

Inspiration, not perspiration is my lazy-assed motto

Assassin

You stalk me like an assassin,
Deadly, always hitting the mark.
You gun me down with a look;
A sniper with deep blue eyes.

You kill me with a smile,
Cut me to fragments
With a turn of the head
And a toss of your hair.

Your voice slays me
Like a piercing blast
Of hot searing lead
Poured in my ears:
A wonderful death.

I'm always in the sights,
A willing stationary target.
I love that killer blow
That strikes me down.

Yikes almighty. Now that is Plath-esque! I f**ckin' love it!

I can identify with that rawness of feeling associated with fear of hurt...oh--the Keatsian "sweetness of pain" :!:

This is fan-f**ckin'-tastic:

Your voice slays me
Like a piercing blast
Of hot searing lead
Poured in my ears:
A wonderful death.

I'm always in the sights,
A willing stationary target.
I love that killer blow
That strikes me down.

Can I tell you a little secret - the real inspiration for the assassin - the Geena Davis/Samuel L. Jackson movie The Long Kiss Goodnight

I'm a bit obsessed with Geena Davis at the moment hmmm

This is potentially the funniest motto I've ever read. Please tell me I can quote you? :D

As for the poem, I find the contrast between the violence and the unexpected reaction very workable. In fact, its a bit masochistic, but in love, the object of desire often causes a good deal of welcomed pain, so the contrast really works out to a comparison. In any case, very well done, again.

Give me new Phoenix wings to fly at my desire."

Well that always say sex and death are closely linked...

You can have that motto but I didn't coin it.

I'm sure I got it from somewhere else

Thank you very much! I'm going to find a way to employ it in my everyday dialogue. :D
