This sonnet really hit home today. Very well-written, thank you for sharing. :)
"Let me not wander in a barren dream,
But, when I am consumed in the fire,
Give me new Phoenix wings to fly at my desire."

"And Hope within a dismal tempest stalls."

Congratulations for this voyage of your passion. I enjoy discovering the influence of Keats' reflective romantism in your poems.

I admire the profound usage of the word, tempest. Tempest may infer to a season, a windy gust, a rainy storm, or a human fury.

Thunderstorms, and lighting storms may highlight or dampen one's creative impulse. During a storm, I enjoy reading a dictionary and a thesaurus, and editing poems.

Dante, Shakespere, Keats, and Milton are local companions during nature's fame.

Any comments about The March Winds prior to April, The Month of Poesy?

peace to love,

jamiano

p.s.
Let's all write a poem for The National Poetry Month Post. I thank everyone for their posts. Each one is a spell.
