Oh little flake of purest white
How soft you glide from heavens height
To rest upon the frosty land
And touch the world with icy hands
Oh with your brethren cold and crisp
The barest sight, the slightest wisp
Cascading through the wintry sky
‘Til at my feet you gently lie
Oh tiny snowflake, natures lace
How soft you fall upon my face
Leave diamond traces on my skin
Before you vanish with your kin.

Brilliant! It gives the snowflake an image of being small and tiny--and soft. And it really rhymes! I LOVE it!

I love those "diamond traces." Your ear and eye have worked together well here.

Very nice. A thoroughly enjoyable read, with a layer or two methinks?
I detect wistful overtones, a hint of sadness, maybe a quiet reflection.
I think I'd drop 'Ode' from the title. Just thinkin'.
Best,
Bri

'Ode' is appropriate because she is addressing the snowflake directly, and that's what an ode is.
