I had no intention of offending you, Ennis, or anyone. We all probably have different definitions of God, deities, the Divine as manifested in the ordinary, the nature of genius, etc..

The ancient gods were/are not perfect, yet they give us insight. They were often jealous, vindictive, and often behaved very badly. (Really now, would you want Medea for a neighbor? Would you want to be in a carpool with Loki? Probably not.) Yet they teach us about the "human condition." Their stories are commentary upon it.
"The philosopher proves that the philosopher exists. The poet merely enjoys existence."

John....you did not live to see-
who we are because of what you left,
what it is we are in what we make of you.
