That's incredible... I had imagined it being very plain but that sounds rather unique. I might enquire further about obtaining some photographs of the actual ring with the museum, but that's given me quite a lot to think about.

Does either of you remember what material the band was made of? And was the garnet set in a claw or was it bezel? Oh, and what shape was the garnet cut?
