If only she would speak to me

Ah Wretched woe entangled in my chest!
She's gone like her body was put to rest
in the earth's bosom. Not one sound is heard
from her; but her damn phantasm ensured
misery for me every night. My tears
burn like the pangs in my heart---she appears
to have put a dent in my soul. And all
I ask to lift this evil Burden-pall
off me, is that she say Hello once in a while.

Nice to see you posting again Monroe Doctrine.

I think everyone can relate to this poem - I know I certainly can.
When only one look, a glance is never enough - when one word from one's beloved could cure all ills.
