My World Issue Piece

Just finished this one, gang, if you have time to take a gander...

The Griffon

The avid, dune fishing
Griffon
Lands and cranes
His sinuous neck,
And surveys
With a scanning eye.

Hot in the curling
Horn,
His crooked bill
Bakes dry.

His neck ruff
Still teems
From a shallow well.
Ambling, craving
He cocks the strike—

On the Somali lamb
Rawboned, buckled,
And alone to die.

Your fertile imagination and poetic vision astonish me more and more each day Denise.

You really have to get some of this stuff published

Your flattery is pretty much enough and what I live for--don't you know that, Stephen??

I don't know the first thing about going on and getting 'published'--don't know who exactly to submit my manuscripts to. :? :?:

I'll do some research on that. Malia had given me some helpful tips on how to get started--if I publish some fledgling volume, I do hope you all would buy it--help my cause!!
