Went there this past January...wept all the way up the Via Condotti up to the Spanish Steps--saw Keats's window and lost it...

I took tea at Cafe Greco--where he had tea with Severn...surreal...and the people there...passionate, hopsitable, embracing, warm and friendly...a truly incredible place... :wink:

I love my Keats. I love my Twins baseball. Apparently, the writer of this fabulous and fun Twins blog that I just discovered a few weeks ago (and have been browsing through archives today) does as well. Sure, the allusions probably won't make any sense to you if you're not into baseball, but I had to post it anyway, because it was such a random discovery! :lol:

Note that a few of the comments are quite cleverly Keats-oriented as well. :wink:

Love it, Credo! And Keats must have *some* American genes in him somewhere as he looks killer in a baseball cap! :wink:

The poem was great, too. Back in college, a friend and I once turned one of Keats's poems into a parody--his poems are great for that. We changed the words of On First Looking into Chapman's Homer to a satire about Whitman college. Not as good as a parody about the Twins, though, I'm sure!

Indeed he does! I wonder if he finds inspiration from Twins "utility fielder" Nick Punto, who also happens to be on the short side (by quite a bit) compared to the rest of his teammates, yet runs bases like the wind. :wink:
