Gone

Rendered straight from my very own pain, ladies and gentlemen...my personal life is so bastardly difficult right now.

Gone

Erase my prints
from your soapy
Finger tips,
Shush my broadcasted
whispers,
Void my yielding salutes,
Rounded, soft, on your
Serious lips.

Launder my oils
From your grave linens,
And bleach my scent
From your starched skin.

You won’t leave me
To heaven.
Let me burn
Next to the shivering sun,
Igniting some seraph’s
Gossamer wings,
Casting argent, pearly,
Wordy things
Out to a slate blue sky.

Am I not pretty when I cry?

I wonder why
You left,
When I was the one--
Quivering, restive,
Who itched to fly?

A real gem as usual Denise :D

If only we could erase all that is painful and hurtful that people have done to us.

Thank you profusely and a thousand times, Stephen. Your opinion means much to me.

Oh, I'm in no position to erase anything--it is he who wants to scour my memory off of his entire existence right now. I wonder if he has? I wonder if it was easy for him to forget my continuous show of affection--kisses, whispers, glances, promises, tugs, squeezes, soft bites, holds and grips--all of it telling him I was his at every turn and at any moment he so desired. How miserable it must be to be emotionally and intimately yellow and always afraid.

 Sorry. I'm burning with a wee bit of resentment...
