How I can have an avatar?

Postby Devid_777 » Mon Jul 03, 2006 1:25 pm

Hi to everybody!
I'm a "fresher" here.
I'd like to have an avatar, (like other "forumers"). But I don't know how to do this. ;-(
Could you, please help me. Does anybody know where to download it?
Or if I have a large picture, is it possible to make it smaller, and suitable for the forum?
By the way, what it the limit size, in pixels and kb?

Thanks in advance..

This is a spam post - damn they are getting so clever.

Every word of that first post is a link to some product

"Devid_777" if you're not just a computer spambot - what's your game?

Cleverer? Really? I'd say sadder. :?

Honestly, you'd think that advertisers would consider the negative effects of spam on their products.

Don't get me started about spammers, on the Keatesbyname forum, I had a big influx of Spam, and I had to delete all the posts and tighten up on security, been working away for a week and they came back with a vengeance, as soon as they know you have denied their access they come back meaner (or should I say the computer program comes back meaner) looks like you have the site under control here!

I still get at least three or four actual posts on here which I delete asap but half the registered users on this board are spambots :?

Spoken to a lot of web designers and most of them say phpBB forums are the best on the market, I must agree with them because it's free and easy to use, but you need to maintain the forum quite regularly. Do you delete the spammer’s account and block the ISP number?

I did start to do that but you soon become overwhelmed by it.

The mroe you delete, the more spambots appear it seems to me. Now I only really delete spam posts and threads when I see them.

Saturn: I have been trying to upload an avatar from my machine. It is within your size limits, but after several tries, I'm still unsuccessful! Please advise . . .
