Another One of Mine

Ok Folks here goes nothing

To -------------------

'Twas like she pierced my chest with a huge blade;
the moment when the love begins to fade,
ails the soul with pangs ineffable; such
That the pain lingers----no matter how much
One attempts to run away from its grasp.

I burned in the immense hot flames that clasp
The tragic and fallen souls. However;
I found myself in the sky----The aether
was easily cut with my wings. The sky
Is now my abode. The Phoenix can’t die;

Only continue. I’m headed towards
The fixed stars-----in fact even more forward;
I’m headed to the Lord’s empyrean
Where love, beauty, truth and the soul are one;
She could have come along…now she’s alone.

I like your absolutes, MD:

The Phoenix can’t die

and

I’m headed towards
The fixed stars-

They really add to the tone. :wink:
