Because Saturn Said I Could...

Post another poem--wrote this one several weeks ago...I should've posted this first--as the Keats allusions abound.

Irritable Reaching

I sit here frozen,
Arrested by your joyful Mystery-
While the cat mews another litany,
A sweet tooth loosens in a careless smile,
The man of the house retreats to the playroom,
And the luster is gone from the Italian tile
In the noisy kitchen.

Still, I sit here completely rented;
I’ve let them suffer, starve, wither and cry.
Yet, again I will note every kiss, giggle, tear
and lamentation—
And study every bud, thirsty bee and haunting fly,
Until, on the green horizon,
That yellow-warm level fire burns-
Like a temperature rising.
"I am certain of nothing but the holiness of the heart's affections and the Truth of Imagination."

You're only reading all this stuff now Edward?

You should have done your homework before this, pored over every word of hers

What can I say? You are a man truly blessed.

I never realised so it was indeed a treat to find these gems of hers,I never get alot of time to explore the forum but today i decided to look through and explore,I worship the ground she walks on and the roots of her divine goddess like stature :)

Its interesting to see any persons journey or quest in life,i have always said to denise she should write a book or a collection of books as she has had a whale of a life for someone so young.

She makes me complete, and i am indeed truly blessed :D :D

Stop, or I will get hit by a bus. I do not deserve such adoring praise.

By the way...where are Edward's verses? Why haven't we had the honor of seeing anything by you here lately? I know these lull times, though...it's as if you are reading and absorbing other things so the spongy muse will swell with inspiration then wrung from your own poetic wellspring...I've had those spans...they are important...even if you are reading work that is not exemplary or very good (like some of mine...) :?
